Column A New Treatment for the Lumbar Spine: The Training for the Florence Method by French Doctors

March 12, 2024

This three-day training course covered the Florence Method, a new treatment method used mainly for spinal canal stenosis.

This treatment method aims to reduce the pressure on the spinal canal through the insertion of a medical device.

On the first day, the training was conducted using both theory and practice.

First, Mr. Gianni, the creator of the device, explained to the participants the technique and mechanisms at work behind the Florence method.

Next, taking up from where he had left during his previous lecture in Japan done for us, Dr. Kohlmann covered the indications for the device as well as how to conduct a thorough medical examination of the patients.

From the afternoon of the first day to the third day onward, we conducted training on medical examinations as well as procedures performed on monitoring patients.

This is a picture of a patient undergoing treatment. Preparation for the insertion of the device.

This picture shows the device firmly in place following insertion.

We hope to start implementing this treatment method around spring of this year.

We will continue to search for and provide new treatment methods while aiming to achieve 100% effectiveness, following our clinic’s principles concerning the treatment of our patients.
